Sunrise Team Member

At Sunrise, our Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day delivery of resident-centered activities and programs for the Sunrise Senior Living Community while meeting and/or exceeding Sunrise quality standards.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining a balanced resident-centered activity program following the Activity Program Guidelines, Programming Guide(s), and supervisor’s direction.
  • Support networking actions to retain a volunteer base, and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and schools.
  • Review and document resident information and activity details in the Daily Log and Department Log, noting physical and behavioral changes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in QA (Quality Assurance) processes and quality service standards related to resident activities; partner with the team to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations, including OSHA, and promote safety and risk management.
  • Participate actively as a team member, working towards team goals.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred one year of experience in senior living communities.
  • Ability to lead activities, motivate volunteers and team members for social events.
  • Possession of valid federal and state licenses, such as CDL or chauffeur license, with acceptable driving records according to DOT and Sunrise policies.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and facilitate small group presentations.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work semi-independently following community procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications, with the ability to learn new software.
