Job summary

Canada Post, based in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, is seeking a temporary, on-call delivery agent (letter carrier). You will start in the depot, sort and prepare deliveries, then drive a postal vehicle to deliver mail and parcels on your route, outdoors in all weather.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift heavy items, and on-call availability. Fluency in English and/or French is required, with competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver's abstract required).
• The physical ability to lift mail items up to 50 lb (22.7 kg) and carry items up to 35 lb (15.9 kg) regularly.
• The ability to work in all types of weather and be on-call.

Responsibilities

• Sort and prepare the day’s deliveries at the depot.
• Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle and deliver mail and parcels on the route, on foot or by vehicle.
