Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership (MLSE Partnership) is hiring for Activation Crew to support game-day and event experiences across our teams and venues. You will distribute promotional items, engage fans and help run promotions, ensuring a memorable, safe and energetic atmosphere.

Ideal candidates are passionate about sports, possess strong communication skills, and can handle high-paced environments during evenings, weekends and playoffs.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education preferred in Marketing, Events or Sport Management.
• Experience in sports/entertainment is a plus.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, playoffs.
• Able to handle 50+ activations per season.
• Excellent communicator with a confident, outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with execution of presentation, operational and entertainment elements for events.
• Distribute promotional giveaway items.
• Place giveaways on seats prior to marquee games.
• Engage with fans professionally while conveying messages for partners.
• Provide positive and memorable fan experiences.
• Answer inquiries about events and items.
• Act as brand ambassadors for MLSE teams and partners.
• Participate in activation set ups and tear downs.
• Work with external partner events.
• Learn facility layouts to assist with wayfinding.
• Adhere to Health & Safety standards.
• Work in compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Other duties as required.

Job Description

As a valued member of one of Rogers Sports most dynamic hourly teams, successful Activation Crew candidates will join the group responsible for the distribution of promotional items and facilitate the execution of associated promotional activities during Maple Leafs, Raptors, Toronto FC, Marlies and Argos affiliated games and events. Additionally, Activation Crew candidates will be enlisted to support and deliver dozens of world class experiences and activations each year. What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist with the execution of the presentation, operational and entertainment elements for events at across the organization and within the community.
• Distribute promotional giveaway items as fans enter and exit venues.
• Assist with the placing of giveaways and items on seats prior to marquee games and promotional nights.
• Positively and professionally engage with fans while communicating key messages for global partners.
• Provide a positive and memorable experience for fans.
• Provide friendly and informed response to inquiries regarding promotional events, items, and general inquiries.
• Professionally act as brand ambassadors for MLSE affiliated teams and partners.
• Participate in activation and event set ups and tear downs when required.
• Work with external partner events when required.
• Learn and develop expert knowledge about the layout of our facilities to better enable you to assist with wayfinding responsibilities.
• Adhere to all company service standards and policies including Health & Safety.
• Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Other duties as required.

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to WOW, inspire and enthusiastically engage our fans during distribution of giveaways and other activations.
• Post-secondary education preferred in Marketing, Events or Sport Management.
• Previous, but not necessary, experience in the sports and entertainment industry an asset.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, holidays and playoffs, which could include but not limited to morning and afternoon.
• Ability to work a minimum of 50, but possibly more, activations, events and promotional samplings a season.
• Ability and willingness to adapt within the ever-changing sport and event landscape.
• Excellent communicator with a confident, professional, and outgoing personality.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience working as a brand ambassador or in customer service an asset.
