Job summary

HGC Noise Vibration Acoustics is seeking an Intermediate Acoustical Consultant to deliver technical projects across Canada and beyond. You will work on diverse assignments spanning environmental noise, architectural acoustics, building vibration isolation, and more, collaborating with engineers, consultants, and technologists.

You’ll contribute to project execution, build client relationships, and mentor junior staff while advancing HGC’s technical capabilities in noise, vibration, and acoustics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Acoustics, or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA, or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience in noise, vibration, acoustics, or a related engineering field.
• Experience in a dynamic consulting environment is strongly preferred, particularly within architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), or industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to all phases of project delivery, including field measurements and data collection.
• Developing engineering and acoustical models to analyze project conditions.
• Performing technical analyses, interpreting results, and developing practical solutions.
• Preparing technical reports, documentation, and project deliverables.
• Reviewing project work to maintain high standards of technical quality.
• Coordinating project activities, schedules, and deliverables with project teams.
• Supporting proposal preparation and responding to client inquiries.
• Serving as a primary day-to-day contact for clients on assigned projects.
