Clark Wood is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior for a Peterborough-based role within a leading accountancy practice. You will manage a varied client portfolio and contribute to career progression in a supportive firm.

The role includes statutory accounts, tax computations, and client advisory work, with mentoring responsibilities and hybrid/flexible working patterns.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ UK accountancy practice experience.
• ACA/ACCA qualification or working towards.
• Strong accounts preparation experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns.
• Assist with personal tax matters.
• Review bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• Provide advice and support to clients.

Clark Wood is working with a leading accountancy practice who are looking for an experienced Accounts Senior to join their growing team.

The Role

• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns.
• Assist with personal tax matters.
• Review bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• Provide advice and support to clients.
• Mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Manage deadlines and attend client meetings where required.

About You

• 3+ years’ UK accountancy practice experience.
• ACA/ACCA qualified.
• Strong accounts preparation experience.
• Good knowledge of FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
• Experience with Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
