Job summary

Clark Wood Limited in Peterborough is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager/Client Manager to join a respected accountancy practice. You will manage a diverse portfolio of non-audit clients, from startups to mid-sized firms, acting as the main client liaison and ensuring accurate, timely work.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA/ACA qualified (or QBE) with strong general practice experience and excellent communication skills to maintain client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising junior staff and reviewing their work.

Responsibilities

• Managing a diverse portfolio of client accounts.
• Supporting partners and clients with bespoke queries and ad hoc project work.
• Preparation and review of Statutory Accounts and Management Accounts.
• Preparation and review of tax computations and returns.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for a range of clients.
• Managing billing and workload for the team, ensuring high service levels.
• Reviewing the work of junior staff and providing guidance.

Accountancy practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with highly regarded, independent firm of chartered accountants in Peterborough, who are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager / Client Manager to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and respected firm of chartered accountants, playing an integral role in their continued success. As an Accounts Manager, you will work closely with the Directors, managing a diverse portfolio of clients which will consist of a wide range of non-audit clients, from start-ups to large companies with annual turnover of up to £15million. You will be the primary point of contact for your clients, ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently.

In addition to client management, you will oversee and assist in the development of junior staff, providing necessary support and reviewing their work.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA/ACA Qualified (or QBE) with strong and varied general practice experience. Excellent communication skills are essential to build and maintain successful relationships with multiple clients.
