Job summary

Hamilton Dental is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist focused on patient billing to join our fast-paced clinic. This full-time hybrid role supports billing, collections, and financial records, ensuring accuracy and professional communication with patients.

Core hours are 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. Compensation ranges from $23 to $28 per hour, depending on experience, with a team-oriented, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental administration, billing, or accounts receivable.
• Strong understanding of insurance processes and dental billing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ClearDent or similar software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of patient and insurance accounts receivable.
• Follow up on outstanding balances in a timely, professional manner.
• Submit, track, and reconcile insurance claims and payments.
• Ensure accurate billing and maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Communicate clearly with patients regarding balances, coverage, and payment options.
• Support day-end and month-end reporting processes (as required).
• Communicate treatment plans, insurance details, and out-of-pocket costs.
• Maintain accurate patient records within the practice management system.
• Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support front desk responsibilities when required.

What You’ll Be Doing

Accounts Receivable & Patient Billing (Primary Focus)

• Take ownership of patient and insurance accounts receivable
• Follow up on outstanding balances in a timely, professional manner

What You Bring

• Experience in dental administration, billing, or accounts receivable (preferred)
• Strong understanding of insurance processes and dental billing
