Job summary

GMS Canada, the Canadian division of Gypsum Management & Supply, is seeking a Credit Analyst to support customer accounts from the Nanaimo location. You will work with the AR team, verify credits, and help ensure accuracy of invoices while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in AR, strong MS Office skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in Nanaimo, BC with standard office hours and full benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar role.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail orientated with disciplined work habits.
• Prioritize and organize workflow to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Takes initiative and is proactive with a results orientation.
• Strong technical skills including MS Office and MS Navigation.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Act as ambassador of the company with employees and customers.
• Focus on key customer accounts and rectify discrepancies promptly.
• Liaise with departments to resolve issues.
• Provide training and guidance to staff as needed.
• Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Post customer payments and ensure invoices are correct.
• Resolve discrepancies among management and sales.
• Collaborate with credit manager to collect past due accounts.
• Maintain customer relationships while collecting payments.
• Create new accounts and verify credit.
