Job summary

Give and Go Prepared Foods Corp. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to manage cash receipts, deductions and credit notes. You will monitor customer exposures, post entries in the ERP, and support timely collections in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a college/university degree in accounting or related field and at least 2 years in AR, with SAP ERP experience considered a strong asset. Flexible work options may be available.

Qualifications

• Completion of college diploma or university degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of previous experience in an Accounts Receivable role.
• Experience with SAP ERP systems strongly preferred; Navision or Visual Manufacturing is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare routine AR batch entries and posts cash receipts transactions to subledger.
• Process customer deductions and obtain relevant approvals and generate required debit / credit notes.
• Process accounts receivable chargebacks.
• Contact customers for payments and follow-up on issues.
• Perform periodic reconciliations on Major customer accounts.
• Provide effective issue resolution pertaining to invoices and credits and follow-up as required.
• Maintain knowledge of AR control accounts and confidentiality; support quick data research.

Job Overview

The Accounts Receivable Associate will be responsible for processing accounts receivable cash receipts, processing customer deductions, monitoring customer credit exposures and collection. The position will be responsible for posting daily cheques, generate DR/CR notes, processing direct deposits and entering data in the ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare routine AR batch entries and posts cash receipts transactions to subledger
• Process customer deductions and obtain relevant approvals and generate required debit / credit notes
• Process accounts receivable chargebacks
• Contact customers for payments and follow-up on issues.
• Perform periodic reconciliations on Major customer accounts
• Required to provide effective and timely issue resolution pertaining to invoices and credits and to follow up as required
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of AR control accounts, ledger entries, etc.
• Strong comprehension of the corporate environment and confidentiality
• High degree of professionalism, ethics, and integrity
• Sound judgement and good analytical skills, as well as excellent research skills
• Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications & Experience

• Completion of college diploma or university degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field of study
• Minimum 2 years of previous experience in an Accounts Receivable role
• Experience working with SAP ERP systems (including modules related to production, supply chain, inventory, or manufacturing processes) is strongly preferred. Experience with Microsoft Navision or Visual Manufacturing is considered an asset.
