Job description

Job Title: Accounts Payable Supervisor

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their team on a 3-month contract. The position is onsite at their offices in Kitchener / Waterloo.

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate vendor invoice processing. Responsibilities include:

1. Verifying and approving over 500 monthly invoice entries
2. Setting up and maintaining automated approval workflows within the ERP system
3. Performing vendor statement reconciliations and resolving past due balances
4. Managing relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve payment issues
5. Proactively identifying and resolving issues within the procure-to-pay process

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
• At least 4 years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable role, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory capacity
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
