Job summary

JYSK Canada is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Accounting Team on a permanent, full-time basis at our head office in Coquitlam, BC. You will support day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

The role requires 1-2 years of AP experience, proficiency with data entry and MS Office (especially Excel), and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of accounts payable experience.
• Proficient in data entry and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Navision is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; French language skills are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify invoices meet policies and approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements to the accounts payable subledger.
• Assist in month-end processing and expense accruals.
• Respond to staff and vendor inquiries regarding AP and expenses.
• Investigate and resolve issues; follow up with colleagues, vendors, department heads, and store managers as needed.
• Process up to 50 invoices per day.

Job Description

JYSK Canada is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and service-minded Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Accounting Team on a permanent, full-time basis.

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounts payable operations while ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the full accounts payable cycle, maintaining accurate financial records, meeting deadlines, and collaborating closely with internal teams and vendors. You will bring a cooperative and quality-focused approach to the role while helping ensure efficient and reliable accounting processes.

The position will be based at our head office in Coquitlam, BC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and verifythatinvoices comply with financial policies and procedures, including approvals and department allocations.
• Reconcile vendor statements totheaccounts payablesubledger.
• Assist in month-end processing and expense accruals.
• Respond toqueries from staff and vendorsregardingAP andexpenses.

What do you bring to the role?

• 1-2 yearsofaccounts payable and general accounting experience.
• Proficient in data entry and management.
• Work well in a computer environment with strong MS Office skills, particularlyinExcel.
• Experience with Microsoft Navision isan asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.French language skills areconsidered an asset.
• Self-motivated and self-directed with strong organizational skills.
• Experience and ability to workindependently and as part of a team.

Compensation: Generally, the hiring range for this position is $45,000 to $47,000 annually; the base payoffered will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and market equity.
