Job description

Purpose:

The Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our company. This position is responsible for supervising and overseeing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions, as well as performing other accounting-related duties as needed. By maintaining strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, tenants, and clients, the supervisor supports the company's operational efficiency and contributes to its overall success.

Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
  • Supervise and process invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.
  • Verify and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and prepare monthly reports.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders to ensure proper allocation of expenses.
  • Responsible for setting up vendors and P.O.s in the AP system.
Accounts Receivable:
  • Oversee billing and collection processes for residential leases.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and manage overdue accounts.
  • Responsible for setting up vendors and P.O.s in the AR system
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate recording of payments.
General Accounting:
  • Assist and lead in the preparation of reports as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Support audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Residential Management experience is a must.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in property management software (e.g., MRI, Yardi).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Capacity to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
  • Competence in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in communicating effectively with vendors, clients, and team members.
