The Opportunity

We are looking for an accomplished Accounting Technician to join our team as part of our financial services business in Montreal.

As part of our Montreal team you will:

• Manage and monitor reconciliations between our accounting systems to external parties’ statements
• Sort, organize, and reconcile high-volume transactions and uphold accounting policies and internal processes in a timely manner.
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting, provide oversight of financial cycles such as cash receipts, accounts payable (including liaising with external vendors), billings, and accruals
• Provide operations support on an ad hoc basis as a member of the Finance team

What You Bring

In addition to high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in accounting, with completed studies in accounting.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluent English). Ability to demonstrate flexibility to meet deadlines.
• Proactive, quick learner, capable of working autonomously and under pressure.
• Strong computer skills, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work with all levels of staff including those in foreign offices and external service providers.
