About the Role
Reporting to the President & Director of Logistics & Operations, this dynamic individual will be responsible for the daily/weekly/monthly financial tasks. This position will ensure timely and reliable reporting is available to support the growth of the business.
Responsibilities
- Enter, Balance, and Reconcile CDN and USD Banks daily
- Enter, Balance and Reconcile company Visa’s
- Manage accounts payable and receivable: Send monthly statements to customers, keep accounts within their terms
- Mange and process sales/corporate expense accounts
- Provide weekly A/R Reporting and enforce our customer credit policies
- Process credit applications
- Post all customer payments: EFT’s, credit card payments and cheques
- Reconcile all customer and vendor accounts
- Prepare and process all vendor/supplier payments both in QuickBooks and the bank
- WCB monthly remittance. And claims
- Enter all sales invoicing, email invoices to customers. Scan and file all related documents to each sale
- Assist with payroll processing
- Post all vendor invoices. Scan and file
- Update and maintain financial working papers
- Upload monthly group benefits hours into the online portal. Post monthly invoices and maintain/update employee information
- Assisting with annual audit
- EDC insurance reporting
- Work with insurance company for our building insurance
- Keep minutes of weekly management meetings
- Assist CEO with Expense accounts and other company expenses
- Work with management team to keep projects on track using SMART tools
Qualifications
- Positive attitude to be part of and add to the company culture

- Finance and accounting experience
- Finance & Accounting education/software knowledge and designations you have or are working towards
- Desire to grow in the company
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative approach with team first attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Demonstrates a strong personal capacity for learning
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Power BI
- Familiarity with SAP, MS Dynamics, and Adaptive Planning
