Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Canada (Quebec Outaouais) is seeking an Accounting Technician to manage payroll changes, maintain employee records, and assist with year-end tax slips. The role is day shift, 40 hours per week, with a competitive compensation package and opportunities for growth.

• Collaborate in year-end process and production of tax slips.
• Produce payroll for all employees according to the established schedule and process special files (withdrawals, work accidents, maternity leaves and disabilities).

What might a typical day look like?

As an accounting technician you will be required to:

• process changes to employee files (hires, terminations, changes to terms and conditions of employment, benefits, records of employment, etc.) ;
• follow up on vacation, statutory holiday and sick leave banks;
• collaborate and participate in the year-end process (analyze discrepancies, make corrections when required) in the production of tax slips;
• produce payroll for all employees according to the established schedule and process special files, such as preventative withdrawals, work accidents, maternity leaves and disabilities.
