Job summary

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is seeking an Accounting Student for a 4‑month term beginning January 2027 in the Atlantic Canada district. You will assist with A/P, journal entries, and fund transfers between the corporate office and project sites.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an accounting/finance degree, possess strong Excel skills, and can manage multiple tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or diploma in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Completing project and overhead-related A/P and journal entries.
• Monitoring and reconciling the transfer of funds from corporate office.
• Preparing and processing bank deposits.
• Processing and entering cash receipts.
• Verifying vendor addresses and entering them into the accounting system.
• Entering and processing revisions.
