Accounting Specialist, Finance-Investment

Our Client, a leader in the financial sector, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic Investment Team. Located in Montreal, this role supports the team's growing need due to an increase in project volumes and business expansion.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Director, Investments Reporting, and the investment teams by producing investment-related financial information for various reports, including financial statements, management reports, and statutory reports.
• Execute and reconcile the general ledger to various analytical databases.
• Prepare reports and materials for the Board.
• Participate in implementing and maintaining financial reporting systems.
• Develop and implement new processes to improve the monthly closing, ensuring high-quality financial information.
• Maintain a robust internal control environment and verify the accuracy of testing evidence.

Requirements:

• Existing knowledge or a strong interest in investments.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience, preferably with audit experience in a BIG 4 firm.
• Professional designation such as CPA and/or CFA, or equivalent education and experience.
• Proficient in both French and English, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud, reporting cubes, and Power BI is a plus.
