Job summary

Intact is seeking an Accounting Service Representative II to join our growing team in Canada. The role focuses on treasury-related activities, including journal entries, bank account management, and vendor invoicing in a fast-paced environment.

You will work as part of a collaborative team across the country, supporting audits and monthly/quarterly reporting. The position requires a College Diploma in accounting, bilingual French/English, and at least 2 years of similar experience.

Qualifications

• College Diploma in accounting or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is essential.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Can consistently perform with accuracy and high volume.
• Effective communication skills with customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Support bank account opening/closing and related documents.
• Maintain bank signing authorities per policy.
• Manage bank portal access with approvals and controls.
• Support PCI compliance activities including store IDs review.
• Prepare and analyze monthly bank service-fee variance reports.
• Review vendor invoices against POs and process payments.
• Reconcile basic accounts and resolve outstanding items.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and support related initiatives.
• Assist manager in annual work planning and documentation updates.
• Provide audit documentation and cooperate with internal/external audits.
• Develop relationships with internal partners and stakeholders.
• Support quarterly reporting activities.

Salary Range (but Not Limited To)

47,100 - 57,500

About The Role

We are looking for an Accounting Service Representative II to join our growing team!

The Accounting Service Representative II will be responsible for the treasury related activities listed below. The candidate should be a strong team player, have the competencies to work independently in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication skills, be able to challenge the status quo and work at improving current processes.

What You Will Accomplish With Us

• Prepare journal entries and maintain complete supporting documentation.
• Support bank account opening and closing requests, including the preparation and submission of required banking documents.
• Maintain and update bank signing authorities in accordance with company policies.
• Administer bank portal access for business users, ensuring appropriate approvals, internal controls, compliance, and reporting requirements are met.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual Merchant PCI compliance activities, including the review and validation of merchant store IDs.
• Prepare and analyze monthly bank service-fee variance reports, highlighting key trends and discrepancies.
• Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices against purchase orders, handle approval and payment request process.
• Reconcile basic accounts and resolve outstanding amounts.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and support the implementation of related initiatives.
• Work with the Manager to develop an annual work plan, including updates to process documentation.
• Provide documentation and assistance for internal and external audits.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with internal partners and different stakeholders.
• Support the manager for different quarterly reporting.

What You Will Bring

• College Diploma in accounting or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Bilingualism (spoken and written) in French and English is essential. Need to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking clients and colleagues across the country.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Can consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed.
• Effective communications skills with an emphasis on customer service.
• Strong computer skills or training with standard office applications including strong data entry skills.
• Proven ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with others.
• No work experience in Canada required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.
