Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Three or more years of relevant accounting, finance, e-commerce, or operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Strong Excel, Power BI and accounting-system skills.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms / Amazon Seller Central is an asset.
• Leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience is required for consideration at the Team Lead level.
• Experience in working in small/medium-size companies is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage billing, accounts receivable, payment application, refunds, and inventory reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end activities, including reconciliations, AR and reporting.
• Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting principles and internal controls.
• Reconcile e-commerce sales, payments, fees, refunds, chargebacks, and deposits.
• Investigate discrepancies and recommend practical solutions.
• Improve accounting and operational workflows, procedures, and controls.
• For the Team Lead level, coordinate priorities, review work, provide guidance, and support team development.
• Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, customers, and e-commerce partners.

We are seeking an Accounting & Operations Specialist or Team Lead to oversee accounting, reporting, reconciliations, day-to-day operations, and process improvement.

The level of the position will depend on the successful candidate’s experience. Candidates with strong accounting and operations experience may be considered for the Specialist role, while those with demonstrated leadership, supervisory, or team-coordination experience may be considered for the Team Lead role.

This hands-on position requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent critical-thinking skills, and the initiative to identify issues, improve processes, and follow problems through to resolution.
