Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the role ensures transactions are processed accurately and on time, supporting documentation and subledger records are complete, reconciliations are performed, issues are resolved promptly, and effective internal controls are maintained.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash collections, inventory control, and grower pay, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing, reconciliation, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Guide cash collection activities by setting collection priorities with the Accounts Receivable Coordinators, monitoring customer commitments, and escalating overdue or high-risk accounts to improve cash flow and minimize delinquency.
  • Meet regularly with Accounts Receivable Coordinators to review a summary of aged accounts receivable, discuss past-due balances and collection priorities, identify disputes or high-risk accounts requiring escalation, and agree on follow-up actions.
  • Oversee the administration of customer credit, including coordinating credit reviews, maintaining approved limits and account holds, and providing information to support allowance and bad-debt decisions in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversee the accounts payable cycle, including invoice intake, coding, approval workflow, three-way matching where applicable, payment scheduling, vendor statement reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Review accounts payable aging and upcoming obligations with the Accounts Payable team, coordinate payment timing with cash availability, capture available discounts, and ensure vendors are paid within agreed terms.
  • Maintain effective transactional controls, including segregation of duties, approval limits, duplicate-payment prevention, customer and vendor master-data governance, and verification of banking changes.
  • Oversee grower-pay processing, including validation of supporting information, payment calculations, approvals, reconciliations, and timely resolution of grower inquiries or discrepancies.
  • Ensure accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and grower-pay subledgers are accurate, complete, and reconciled, and provide schedules, explanations, and issue follow-up to support the month-end close.
  • Identify opportunities to improve transactional workflows, system use, documentation, and service levels, and implement standardized procedures across the team.
  • Provide leadership to the team members, including workload planning, performance management, scheduling, employee relations, training and development, and building awareness of business performance and profitability.
  • Coordinate cash requirements arising from accounts payable, grower pay, and other transactional activities, and provide timely information to support cash flow forecasting and funding decisions.
  • Develop and monitor transactional accounting reports and key performance indicators, including collection status, receivable and payable aging summaries, payment timeliness, transaction backlogs, exceptions, and unresolved discrepancies.
  • Perform other related duties and support additional business priorities as assigned
