Job summary

Adi Capital Partners, a leading Canadian real estate developer and operator in Burlington, Ontario, is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day accounting for corporate and project entities and to own the close process. This hands-on leadership role focuses on building the team, ensuring accurate monthly reporting, and enabling efficient project cost accounting across multiple entities.

The role requires managing AP/AR, payroll, draws, tax/compliance, and preparing reporting packages

Qualifications

• CPA designation completed; we are not considering candidates who are still in progress.
• Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience, including at least two years leading and developing a team.
• Real estate development or construction accounting experience preferred.
• Lean accounting and AI experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close for corporate and project entities, reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Own accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and reporting packages for internal and lender review.
• Oversee project accounting: budgets, commitments, change orders, actual costs and cost to complete.
• Coordinate audits, compliance, tax and regulatory filings; ensure timely filings and documentation.
• Drive lean processes, AI-enabled workflows and ERP initiatives across the finance function.
• Mentor the accounting team and develop clear performance objectives.
