Job Description: Accounting Manager, Platform Operations at Coinbase

Coinbase is seeking a highly motivated accounting professional to join our Accounting team. This role involves reconciling and analyzing platform data within the company's financial and platform systems, impacting our high-growth organization and offering career development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform or review monthly close activities related to inventory cost accounting, reconciliations, and analysis of ending balances.
• Assist with launching new digital assets and products affecting platform accounting.
• Ensure internal controls over platform accounting are in place, develop/update procedures to enhance efficiency and security.
• Develop and implement scalable accounting processes for timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to operationalize new business areas and streamline transactions.
• Recognize system linkages and understand data flow across modules and interfaces, including Master Data Management (MDM).
• Participate in critical accounting projects, including system enhancements and implementations.
• Manage testing processes for process improvements and system automation.
• Support internal and external audits related to your areas of responsibility.
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures.
• Support ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as needed.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, or broker-dealers; Pre-IPO and public company experience preferred.
• B.A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• Experience with month-end close processes.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others.
• Experience in high-growth environments and translating accounting into operational processes.
• Operational experience with high-volume reconciliations and exception resolution.
• Proficiency in technical data skills (e.g., SQL), Netsuite, Google Suite, and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and multitasking skills.

Pay Range: $170,000 CAD annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
