Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to monitor construction budgets, cost reports, and financial progress.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to maintain strong external relationships.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Skills and Experience:

• Accounting Expertise: Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and full-cycle accounting within the real estate development or construction sector.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop an accounting team while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external partners.
• Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with exposure to real estate development, construction, or high-rise residential projects.
• Education: CPA designation required; post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
