We're seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to join our established and thriving client in Dartmouth, NS.

This permanent position requires proven organizational skills, agility in dynamic environments, effective teamwork capabilities, and excellent communication and leadership conducted in a positive and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee full cycle accounting processes
2. Financial statement preparation
3. Cash reconciliations
4. Bank reconciliations and deposits
5. Financial reporting
6. Cash flow management
7. Budgeting and forecasting
8. Payroll processing
9. Evaluate, analyze, and recommend process improvements
10. Month-end and year-end processes
11. Support HR initiatives and play an active role in hiring and training of staff
12. Staff management

Skills & Attributes for Success:

• Post-secondary education in accounting, business or finance
• 5+ years’ relevant accounting experience
• CPA designation would be considered an asset, but is not required
• Up-to-date knowledge of accounting systems, software, and government regulations
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Professional, concise, and adaptable communication skills
• Open-minded and flexible approach with a hands-on attitude
