Qualifications

  • Accounting degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation preferred, or actively pursuing.
  • Minimum of five years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll oversight, and government remittances.
  • Strong grasp of inventory accounting, manufacturing costing, and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and review of financial results.
  • Prepare and review reconciliations for key balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Prepare monthly financial management reporting, including commentary on significant events, trends, and variances.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow reports and support short-term cash flow forecasting.
  • Complete government reporting and remittances, including WSIB, HST, EHT, and T4 reconciliation requirements.
  • Support inventory and manufacturing accounting, including maintenance, analysis, and continuous improvement of related processes.
  • Coordinate with operations on the annual physical inventory count and analyze significant inventory variances.
  • Support job costing, work-in-process analysis, inventory valuation, and manufacturing margin review.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within accounting, reporting, and ERP-related workflows.
  • Coordinate audits, reviews, and information requests with external accountants and government agencies.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and support accurate financial records.
  • Provide financial insight and analysis to management as required.

Daltec Process Fans is a Canadian manufacturer and service provider headquartered in Cambridge, Ontario. The company specializes in custom-engineered industrial fans and blowers for demanding process applications, serving industrial, power generation, and OEM markets.

Position Summary

Daltec is currently hiring an Accounting Manager to oversee the company’s accounting function and support accurate, timely, and useful financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for month-end close, account reconciliations, management reporting, cash flow reporting, government remittances, and oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Accounting degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation preferred, or actively working toward a CPA designation.
  • Minimum of progressive five years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, payroll oversight, and government remittances.
  • Strong understanding of inventory accounting, manufacturing costing, and operational reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance team members.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes, strengthen controls, and support business decision-making.
Software / Systems Experience
  • Experience with Global Shop Solutions ERP system is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills are considered an asset.
  • Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.

Compensation range: $95,000 - $125,000
