Job summary

Parkland Corporation seeks an Accounting Intern to support the Financial Reporting and General Accounting teams. You will engage in day-to-day accounting activities, assist with month-end close, and help analyze and reconcile financial data.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accounting/finance degree, with preference for 2nd–4th year students and at least one term remaining. This on-site role in Calgary offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Preference given to 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year with one term remaining after work term.

The Opportunity

The Accounting Intern will support the Financial Reporting and Accounting teams by contributing to core accounting activities, data analysis, and reporting processes. This role offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced environment and exposure to key finance functions.

• Preference will be given to students in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study with one academic term remaining following the completion of the work term.

Requirements

• Available for an 8‑month term beginning in January 2027.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and capable of working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
