Horizon Recruitment Inc. is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Contract Accountant to support our client’s finance team during a busy period. This 3-month contract is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and is comfortable jumping in to help wherever needed — whether that’s financial reporting, reconciliations, or lending a hand with AP / AR or month-end.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and welcoming team environment, providing day-to-day support on key accounting functions while helping the team stay on track with their deadlines.

Responsibilities :

• Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting
• Support reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
• Contribute to month-end close activities
• Assist with AP / AR, journal entries, and invoice processing as needed
• Help prepare supporting schedules and working papers
• Provide ad hoc support on accounting tasks as assigned by the Controller or Finance Manager
• Jump in on various projects and tasks depending on weekly priorities

Requirements :

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency with accounting systems (Ideally Netsuite) and Excel
• Ability to adapt quickly and support a range of accounting tasks
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• CPA designation or enrollment is an asset, but not required
• Available to start on short notice and commit for the full 3-month term
• Only candidates eligible to work in Canada will be considered
