Job summary

ADLP | Technica Mining is seeking a motivated Accounting Clerk to join our growing team, reporting to the Corporate Controller. Strong organizational and computer skills are valued for this role, with emphasis on accuracy and timely processing of financial data.

The incumbent will handle data entry, AP processing, AR management, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance tasks while supporting intercompany transactions and cost allocations.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary Accounting Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and validate data in accounting systems (ERP, Excel).
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices with correct job project coding.
  • Post cash receipts and manage Accounts Receivable.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and draft journal entries.
  • Assist in tax remittances and monthly reconciliation reporting.

Aki-eh Dibinwewziwin (ADLP) is a collaboration between Atikameksheng Anishnawbek, Wahnapitae First Nation, Technica Mining and Anmar. We provide world-class mine contracting services while ensuring our communities can meaningfully participate in the economic benefits of our territorial lands within the Robinson-Huron Treaty Territory.

ADLP is one of Canada's largest Indigenous and Canadian-owned Underground Mine Contracting Partnerships - and the mining contractor of choice on the traditional and territorial lands in the world-renowned Greater Sudbury basin. ADLP provides comprehensive underground construction services (including civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical), underground development and production, shaft repairs and maintenance, surface mining drilling and blasting services, mining engineering, maintenance shutdowns, mechanical, electrical, fabrication, furnaces, and raise boring.

ADLP | Technica Mining is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as an Accounting Clerk, reporting to the Corporate Controller. Strong organizational and computer skills are considered assets for this role, and we encourage candidates who possess them to apply.

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Entering and validating data in accounting systems (ERP, Excel)
  • Processing Accounts Payable invoices, ensuring correct coding for job projects
  • Posting cash receipts from clients and managing Accounts Receivable
  • Performing monthly bank reconciliations
  • Drafting journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
  • Ensuring accuracy in financial recording and compliance
  • Assisting in the preparation of tax remittances
  • Assisting in monthly reconciliation reporting
  • Maintaining organized records for audits and regulatory reviews, including intercompany transactions
  • Assisting in tracking and allocating costs between JV partners according to the JV agreement
  • Additional duties as required to support accounting and organizational goals
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary Business Administration and/or Accounting Diploma or equivalent required
    • 1-2 years of accounting experience.
    • Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and data entry
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in English; bilingualism an asset
  • Ability to plan, organize and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task while upholding strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Uphold company values and maintain confidentiality
