The Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining and supporting systems, processes, and documentation within the finance team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department.
- Processing supplier invoices and reviewing 3-way matches.
- Reviewing and resolving issues in emails received from internal and external vendors.
- Processing vendor payments and credit card transactions.
- Assisting in payroll processing.
- Maintaining an orderly financial filing system.
- Reconciling various accounts.
- Collaborating with the Purchasing Manager to achieve a balanced inventory system.
- Performing other duties as assigned in support of the Accounting Team.
- Reconciling bank transactions and assisting with month-end close.
- Preparing WSIB and EHT remittances.
- Interaction: This position requires communication with various vendors, sponsors, banks, and Transpharmation employees.

Environment
Generally working in a typical interior office work environment.
Health Risks
There will be occasional periods of several hours per day performing physically repetitive procedures (typing, filing, etc.). There is also a potential for digital eye strain resulting from prolonged computer use.

Skills and Knowledge
Education
- College diploma in accounting.
Experience
- 3-5 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
- 2 years of payroll experience.
- 1-5 years of NetSuite experience (preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge
- Good understanding of accounting principles and current business practices.
