Status : Temporary, Full-Time

Term : The employment term is intended to run until April 2027, with the College applying the terms of the collective agreement accordingly.

Number of Positions : 1

Work Location : Hybrid, Vancouver B.C. (combination of in-office and remote work)

Salary : $64,709.78 per annum

What you’ll be doing

Responsibilities, as per the Collective Agreement with MoveUP Together (COPE Local 378), include:

  • Maintaining accounting document files, including daily work, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Following established guidelines and procedures, exercising independent judgment.
  • Performing data entry and producing accounts payable cheques, distributing them after signing, and handling bank deposits.
  • Entering revenue receipts, posting and balancing ledgers, and resolving documentation discrepancies.
  • Entering budget data.
  • Performing routine clerical work: filing, typing, answering calls, preparing forms and correspondence, maintaining supplies.
  • Meeting deadlines and demonstrating dependability.
  • Adapting to changing priorities and workload fluctuations.

Your education, qualifications, & skills

  • At least four years of related experience.
  • Secondary high school diploma.
  • Business college certificate or equivalent with basic accounting courses and experience.
  • Intermediate skills in accounts receivable, accounts payable, bookkeeping, and general accounting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn new software and adapt to upgrades.
  • Typing speed of at least 45 wpm.
  • Initiative, independent judgment, and minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication with registrants and the public.
  • Maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Fostering a respectful, team-oriented organizational culture.
