Job description

Robert Half has a contract / temporary / contract Accounting Assistant available today. This position is an integral part of the company and will maintain the day to day accounting activities that are required. In addition, this role ensures accuracy in our client's processes and requires the ability to reconcile the computer systems and accounts. Work in a beautiful office within a dynamic and positive team environment. Competencies : High level of attention to detail and results oriented Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Accounts Payable management ensuring all supplier statements are reconciled and required payments are determined weekly
  • Accounts Receivable management ensuring all customer accounts are reconciled and are invoiced when required
  • Assist in reconciling project budgets
  • Prepare GST returns
  • Complete monthly reconciliations of credit card statements and general ledger accounts
  • Assist in maintaining project management system ensuring all project estimates and budgets are set up correctly
  • Assist with developing and implementing internal processes for increased efficiency
  • Other accounting and administration duties as assigned

Job Requirements : Qualifications :

  • Post secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting is required
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and QuickBooks is required
  • Previous accounting experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Construction Project Management Software knowledge would be an asset
