SSP Canada operates multiple restaurants in Kelowna International Airport, including White Spot Restaurant, Subway, Tim Hortons, and retail stores.

The Shared Services Specialist is an administrative role that provides support in finance, accounting, and human resources functions within an airport setting. This position is on-site with occasional travel.

Essential Functions (Accounting)
  • Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Room activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payables, transfers, petty cash, and cash control. Also, oversee accounts receivable components including billings and cash receipts.
  • Support cash counting, safe servicing, voucher reconciliation, and Eigen Inventory maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational financial procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to generate accurate reports from systems.
  • Perform weekly safe counts audits in terminals.
  • Follow cash handling and inventory procedures diligently.
  • Assist in technical training and maintenance of accounting systems such as IT, Lynx, Micros, MyInventory, and CrunchTime.
Essential Functions (Human Resources)
  • Assist in organizing Job Fairs and conducting initial interviews.
  • Handle new employee onboarding, including 321 forms and data entry in Hub New Hire.
  • Manage badging, parking, and uniform inventory distribution.
  • Track and facilitate SSP Academy Training compliance.
  • Set up new employee airport credentials, parking, etc., and retrieve them upon termination as a signatory for SSP America at the airport.
Required Education & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of combined accounting/finance and human resources experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance.
