Responsibilities

• Participates in credit ratings review and debt issuance; monitors covenants and financing structure; assists in rating agency presentations.
• Manages banking, investment relationships and external communications with financial institutions.
• Develops treasury policies and identifies process improvements.
• Oversees accounting and financial reporting for affiliated entities and coordinates financial audits.
• Coordinates accounting for employee benefit plans (pensions, 403(b), workers' comp, etc.).
• Leads enhancement of accounting systems to improve efficiency.

Summary

This position serves as a senior accountant and is responsible for oversight of a variety of financial tasks including developing and managing financial models, participating in credit rating reviews and debt issuance, managing banking and investment relationships, and developing financial procedures and processing improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages financial models to forecast the company's cash/liquidity position and manage working capital needs.
• Participates in the credit ratings review and debt issuance processes. Understands and monitors covenants and structure of all financing agreements including ongoing compliance. Assists in preparation of rating agency and other corporate presentations.
• Manages banking, investment and other financial relationships, products and services and maintains external communication with pertinent financial institutions.
• Develops treasury policies and procedures and identifies and implements process improvements.
• Responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for the following affiliated entities and joint ventures: Rex Enterprises Company Inc., Rex CDP Ventures LLC and Subsidiaries, Rex Orthopedic Ventures LLC, Rex Surgery Center of Cary LLC, Rex Health Ventures LLC. Also coordinates any financial audits of these entities.
• Coordinates the accounting for employee benefit plans, including pension, 403(b) employee medical and dental, worker’s compensation, deferred compensation and incentive compensation plans or agreements.
• Coordinates enhancement of accounting computer systems to improve efficiency of processes and reporting.

• If Master's degree, two (2) years of accounting experience.

• Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
