Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of accounting experience in a complex, multi-entity organization including consolidations and financial reporting.
• A CPA designation or working towards a CPA designation is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of ASPE; REALpac experience an asset.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Real estate industry experience an asset including previous use of Yardi.
• Great communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-cycle accounting for corporate entities, including consolidated and unconsolidated financial statements, bank reconciliations, partnership equity reconciliations, intercompany analysis and GST filings.
• Prepare and analyze working papers and multi-level consolidation schedules for corporate entities, ensuring that financial information provided is timely and relevant for effective decision making.
• Research technical accounting issues to support compliance, ensuring general ledger reflects results.
• Support the year-end audit and ERP system improvement initiatives.
• Champion Anthem's culture in the spirit of The Anthem Way.
• Take on ad-hoc analysis and projects as they come up.

Salary range:$75,000 - $105,000 per year, based on level and experience (Accountant to experienced Senior Accountant)
