Job summary

Anthem Properties Group Ltd. is seeking a high-performing accountant to support the Housebuilding division.

You will own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of communities, deliver variance analysis, and prepare month-end and year-end reporting, partnering with operations to bring clarity to fast-moving projects. You will leverage advanced Excel and tools like Power BI or Yardi to forecast, budget, and analyze costs, while collaborating across operations, finance, and corporate teams to drive

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in real estate/housebuilding.
• CPA designation (or near completion).
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with NewStar, InformXL, Power BI, or Yardi is an asset.
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting experience.
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects and thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting for an assigned portfolio of communities within the Housebuilding division.
• Deliver monthly variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) with actionable insights.
• Prepare month-end and year-end financial reporting packages, including statements and schedules.
• Support forecasting and annual budgeting for your communities.
• Analyze job-level costs, identify trends, and flag risks or inconsistencies.
• Support cash flow forecasts and proformas; collaborate with project teams on key assumptions.
• Assist year-end audit/review processes.
• Partner with operations, finance, and corporate teams to fulfill information requests and improve processes.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the Housebuilding Accounting Manager/Director.

• Prepare month-end (and quarter/year-end) financial reporting packages, including financial statements, management reporting, and supporting schedules
• Support forecasting and annual budgeting for your communities
• Analyze job-level costs, identify trends, and flag risks or inconsistencies early
• Support community cash flow forecasts and proformas; collaborate with project teams to align on key assumptions
• Support year-end audit/review processes
• Partner with internal stakeholders (operations, finance, and corporate teams) to fulfill information requests and contribute to process and system improvements
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the Housebuilding Accounting Manager/Director as required

You have

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (project or real estate/housebuilding experience is a strong asset)
• CPA designation (or near completion)
