About The Role

Bosa Properties is seeking an Accountant to join our Investment Accounting team. This team manages partner and joint venture entities, investments in other operating companies, and capital placements outside of real estate. The role offers a unique opportunity to gain diverse experience while working with seasoned professionals. The team provides timely financial insights to support performance analysis and data-driven decision-making.

What You'll Do

• Review and reconcile trial balances for investment entities.
• Track and review monthly sales, providing variance reports to management.
• Create budgets and forecasts for company managers.
• Analyze cost discrepancies and prepare reports to assist investment decisions.
• Review gross margin and net income for portfolios monthly.
• Record accruals, adjustments, and amortizations.
• Develop templates for efficient sales tracking and recording.
• Assist in preparing documents for external audits, responding to auditor inquiries.
• Support monthly management reporting with schedule preparation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting team members for cohesive operations.
• Perform additional tasks as capacity and aptitude allow.

What You Bring

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Actively working towards a CPA designation.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and consolidation procedures.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive adaptability to changing priorities.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager is an asset.

Salary Range

61,406—$84,420 CAD, determined by experience, education, and internal factors.
