Job summary

CheckMate.ID Corp., a Vancouver-based fintech, is hiring two accountants—one full-time permanent and one part-time—reporting directly to the CFO and working on-site at our Vancouver office.

You will manage day-to-day accounting, prepare cash flow summaries and monthly reports, ensure compliance, and collaborate with the technology team to test integrations with QuickBooks Online.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or active CPA candidate preferred.
• Full-time: 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Part-time: 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada on a permanent basis and able to work on-site in Vancouver, BC.
• FinTech, lending, or SaaS exposure is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting: AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.
• Prepare daily cash flow summaries, weekly dashboards, and monthly financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government filings.
• Work with the technology team to test and optimize integrations between our proprietary platforms and QuickBooks Online

Compensation: Full-time: $50,000 - $65,000/year Part-time: $25.00 - $31.00/hour

CheckMate.ID Corp. is a Vancouver-based fintech building software for high-speed, high-liquidity financing across Canada and the U.S. We are hiring two accountants - one full-time permanent and one part-time - both reporting directly to the CFO and working on-site at our Vancouver office.

What You Will Do

• Manage day-to-day accounting: AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.


• Prepare daily cash flow summaries, weekly dashboards, and monthly financial reports.


• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government filings.


• Work with our technology team to test and optimize integrations between our proprietary platforms and QuickBooks Online.

What You Bring

• CPA designation or active CPA candidate preferred.


• Full-time: 5+ years of professional accounting experience. Part-time: 3+ years.


• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, charts); Power BI, Google Sheets an asset.


• Interest or experience in FinTech, lending, or SaaS; exposure to automation or data query tools is a strong plus.


• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.


• Legally entitled to work in Canada on a permanent basis and able to work on-site in Vancouver, BC.
