A well-established consulting firm specializing in construction and building projects is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant/Bookkeeper to join their team. This role is essential in supporting the financial operations of the firm, including working closely with the principals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:- Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
- Prepare and maintain balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements
- Oversee payroll processing and related remittances
- Handle GST filing, tax submissions, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Monitor and manage collections, following up on outstanding accounts
- Utilize Deltek software to maintain and update financial records and project costing
- Support the principals with financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
- Assist with year-end preparations and liaise with external accountants as needed
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation
Qualifications:- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar accounting/bookkeeping role
- Proficiency with Deltek or similar project-based accounting software
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and payroll processes
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
