Job summary

Vaco LLC in Ontario is seeking an experienced accountant to handle month-end close and financial reporting. You will complete reconciliations, postings, cost allocations, accruals, and intercompany transactions within our ERP and TMS environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, CPA candidacy, 2–3 years of accounting experience, and advanced Excel. Power BI and TMS experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
• Active CPA program enrollment is expected.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience is required.
• Experience with D365 F&O and VENA is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.
• Power BI or TMS software experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete TMS interface batch reconciliations and postings.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end procedures including invoice posting, cost allocations, accruals, intercompany transactions and related activities.
• Develop checks-and-balances tools within the month-end process to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain required information and ensure updates are included in month-end reporting procedures.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; analyze, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Perform reconciliations between billing systems and ERP to ensure data integrity.
• Conduct financial analysis to support ongoing financial operations.
• Participate in system implementation/migration and process-improvement projects.
• Assist with interim and year-end audit preparation.
• Support external customer reporting and budgeting/forecasting processes.

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration


• Actively enrolled in CPA program


• At least 2-3 years of accounting experience


• Exposure to accounting software (D365 F&O, VENA, preferred but not required)


• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel


• Experience with visualization tools (Power BI) or TMS software (TMW, Blue Yonder) considered an asset


• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment


• Quick learner with a continuous improvement mindset

Pay Range

$30– $32 /hour
