We are seeking a candidate with hands on experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role. Experience as a volunteer treasurer for a non-profit organization would be an asset.

Calvary is a local ministry with historic ties to the long-standing Beach community in Toronto.

A dedicated group of volunteers take initiative in supporting worship service and other ministries. Preferred Skills

The candidate should have hands-on accounting experience. Skills required:

• Experienced bookkeeper with knowledge of the full accounting cycle, including payroll, month and year-end reporting
• Experience preparing statutory (CRA) filings (T4, T3010)
• Ability to develop and monitor budgets
• Knowledge of fund accounting
• Ability to work with employees as well as volunteers in a small environment with modest resources
• Good analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to report financial matters in a clear, concise and accessible manner
• Knowledge of Windows/MSWord/Outlook/Excel
• Experience with banking and treasury
• Knowledge of Power Church an asset
