We’re looking for an Accountant to join a leading financial services team.

Position : Investment Fund Accountant (Contract)

Contract Length : 12 months (possible extension or conversion to permanent)

Location : Toronto (Remote but on site during during Tax season in March)

Industry : Fund Accounting / Financial Services

Hourly Rates : T4 : $30-$33 / hour OR Incorporated : $34-$39 / hour

About the Role

The Accountant will perform independent financial validation, prepare financial statement reporting, and manage taxation responsibilities with a focus on ensuring regulatory compliance and analytical integrity. This role requires strong investment fund accounting experience and a deep understanding of the Income Tax Act of Canada.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in investment fund accounting
• Strong experience preparing and analyzing financial statements for investment funds
• Experience with investment fund tax returns and distributions
• Knowledge of IFRS and Canadian Income Tax regulations as they apply to investment funds
• Strong Excel and related accounting software skills
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of the Income Tax Act of Canada

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with TaxPrep
• Working towards or holding an accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA)
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course or IFIC designation
