Job summary

Domtar, a leading producer of pulp, paper, packaging, tissue and wood products, located in Montreal, Quebec, is seeking a full-time Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. You will record and monitor financial accounting transactions and support the corporate accounting function under the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting.

Responsibilities include preparing entries, performing month-end close with intercompany reconciliations and reporting, analyzing balance sheet accounts,

Qualifications

• Bilingual French and English (Required for corporate positions).
• University degree in Accounting (completed or in progress).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Professional designation (CPA) is an asset.

The location in Montreal , ( Quebec , Canada ), is seeking talent to fill the position of Accountant . This job is full-time permanent .

Overview: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, your role will consist of recording and monitoring financial accounting transactions while supporting the corporate accounting function.

Your challenges:

• Prepare accounting entries
• Perform month-end closing processes, including:

Your profile:

• Bilingual French and English (Required for all Corporate Positions)*
• University degree in Accounting (completed or in progress)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of GAAP and SAP (FI/CO) is considered an asset
