Domtar Corporation in Montreal, QC, is seeking an Agent, Accounts Payable (Temporary - 1 year) to support financial operations by processing invoices accurately and timely, in line with internal controls.

The Accounts Payable Technician will analyze payments, validate interfaces, perform PO invoice matching, and assist in month-end close. Remote work is available as part of a hybrid workplace, with opportunities for growth within a large, diverse organization.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or related field required.
• 3+ years in Accounts Payable, preferably in a large organization.
• Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, validate, and execute payments per internal controls.

The location in Montreal , ( Quebec , Canada ), is seeking talent to fill the position of Agent, Accounts Payable (Temporary - 1 year). This job is full-time temporary .

Overview : Reporting to the Supervisor, Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Technician provides essential support to financial operations by ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of invoices, in compliance with internal policies and deadlines, while contributing to the continuous improvement of processes .

Your Responsibilities:

Analyze, validate, and execute payments in accordance with internal controls;

Ensure validation and monitoring of the interfaces;

Perform matching of invoices, credits, and purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies;

Review and approve expense reports in Concur, ensuring compliance with company policies;

Act as a SAP Super User and serve as a resource person for the team (support, training, troubleshooting);

Actively participate in fraud detection and prevention, including validation of vendor banking information;

Perform complex analyses related to month-end and support closing activities;

Identify recurring issues and propose and implement sustainable solutions;

Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tools, and internal controls;

Support the supervisor with coordination and team guidance activities as needed.

Your Skills :

Strong proficiency with ERP systems (SAP is a major asset) and expense management tools (Concur);

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (advanced functions and analysis);

Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems;

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines;

Strong customer service orientation and ability to prioritize effectively;

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams;

Autonomy, leadership, and ability to act as a mentor within the team;

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and manage multiple priorities.

Your Profile:

Diploma (DEP, AEC, or DEC) in Accounting or a related field;

Bachelor’s degree in Administration or Accounting (an asset);

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a complex or large organization;

Experience working remotely and with digital documentation;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
