We are looking for a driven individual to join our finance team and be a key member of our Financial Reporting department. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple tasks in a busy work environment, proficiency working with ERP software, and a willingness to learn. We seek someone with a positive can-do attitude who takes pride in their work and is eager to grow their career with one of Canada's best-managed companies.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle accounting: reconciling key accounts, month-end close, and developing supporting working papers.
• Maintain financial, accounting, and records management systems.
• Identify internal and system control risks and assist with the development and documentation of new processes to enhance workflow across departments including IT, Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, and HR.
• Provide options and recommendations for new policies and practices.
• Assist in implementing improvements to financial controls and procedures.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve requests from operational teams, adhering to accounting and business policies.
• Become a key resource for employees nationwide in operating our ERP software, responding to issues and requests as needed.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Consideration to pursue CPA professional accounting designation.
• 1-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proven ability to manage deliverables from multiple parties to meet deadlines.
• Collaborative approach to leading an accounting team in problem-solving.
• Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close processes.

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000
