Job Description
Working with the National Accounts Leadership team, this position's core responsibility is to provide and manage effective claims management solutions for top commercial and personal lines clients.
Job Duties
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts related to automobile, property, and general liability exposures.
- Establish and implement Best Handling Practices tailored to each client.
- Respond to inquiries from client and internal stakeholders, addressing concerns as needed.
- Create and maintain Service Level Agreements and Claims Handling Guidelines per contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular stewardship and client-facing meetings.
- Support financial and production targets by managing KPIs such as abeyance, billings, response times, cycle times, and receivables.
- Manage adjuster performance through quality reviews, audits, meetings, and complaint resolution.
- Review operational dashboards weekly for KPI targets.
- Potentially lead, guide, and mentor a dedicated adjusting team.
- Act as a consultative advisor on claims and technical issues.
- Participate in RFP processes for new business and contract renewals.
Qualifications & Experience
- University Degree and/or CIP/FCIP Designation.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Property & Casualty claims adjusting, with multi-provincial experience preferred.
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Fully licensed in Ontario or able to obtain licensing in Ontario and other provinces.
- Strong communication skills, including listening, interviewing, negotiating, adaptable to audience.
- Organizational skills to prioritize and manage conflicting tasks effectively.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint; quick to learn new systems.
- Proactive, positive customer service approach, handling inquiries timely.
- Effective interpersonal skills for conflict resolution and difficult situations.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- French language skills are an asset.
