Summary

This role is responsible for managing and growing territory sales, managing and growing current sales accounts, identifying and growing new accounts, and demonstrating general knowledge in all aspects of the individual customer relationship including resin needs, end uses, credit, logistics efficiency, inventory and the MHC value proposition. This role will serve customers primarily in eastern Canada, working from a home office in Mississauga or Toronto area.

Critical Activities

  1. Maintains assigned accounts and manages for profitable growth
  2. Coordinates internal support for assigned accounts
  3. Maintains a robust pipeline of prospective customers
  4. Provides forecasting information for budgeting and operations planning
  5. Supports the quoting process with complete and accurate information on customer requirements
  6. Collaborates in pricing decisions
  7. Negotiates to maximize profit margins
  8. Cultivates a positive and strategic relationship with assigned Client Experience Professional
  9. Supports corporate and business development activities
  10. Represents the Company at trade / industry events
  11. Supports positive relationships with suppliers
  12. Participates in training and personal development programs
  13. Trains and mentors Commercial Development employees, Sales Representatives and new Account Managers as requested

Knowledge and Skills

  1. 3 years related experience in plastics distribution, compounding, or our resin supplier
  2. Experience in Sales, with plastics sales experience preferred
  3. High level of initiative, work ethic, and professionalism
  4. Desire to learn and execute the sales process
  5. Plans and organizes in an efficient and productive manner; prioritizes and multi-tasks multiple projects; pays attention to details
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  7. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  8. Ability to grow and maintain business relationships at all levels at the customer and MHC organization
  9. Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
  10. Capability to create internal teamwork to focus on sales objectives
  11. Goal oriented; results-driven
  12. Bilingual English and French preferred
