The Group Ticket Sales Representative is a key member of the sales team, responsible for increasing ticket revenue through personalized outreach and relationship-building.

This role involves promoting group ticket packages to organizations, schools, associations, and community groups, fostering meaningful connections with fans and providing memorable experiences at Ottawa Black Bears games and events.

The ideal candidate is motivated, results-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for excellent customer service. The position requires a proactive sales approach and includes game day responsibilities to ensure a superior experience for group clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new group ticket clients, including corporate organizations, schools, community groups, and associations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with group leaders, serving as their primary contact for all ticketing needs.
  • Develop customized group ticket packages and promotions aligned with client interests and organizational goals.
  • Actively sell group tickets through outbound calls, in-person meetings, and networking events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials to boost group sales.
  • Achieve or surpass individual and team sales targets, providing regular updates and forecasts to management.
  • Assist in planning and executing group-specific experiences, such as on-field events, pre-game activities, or post-game meet-and-greets.
  • Attend all home games and group events, ensuring clients have a seamless and enjoyable experience.
  • Manage and record sales activities and client information in CRM software, maintaining accurate and current records.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continually improve sales efforts, including selling season tickets, suites, and corporate advertising.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English & French) preferred.
  • Goal-oriented with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Experience in ticket sales, preferably in sports and entertainment, is an asset.
  • Customer service experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and personal transportation.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Team player.
