  • Build customer trust through proactive communication, timely follow‑ups, and a strong commitment to delivering on expectations.

2. Account Growth & Business Development

  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts by understanding customer requirements, expanding service offerings, and increasing business volumes.

  • Proactively monitor shipment activities, anticipate potential service disruptions, and communicate updates or corrective actions to customers.
  • Manage customer escalations, including shipment delays, service discrepancies, damages, and claims, ensuring timely investigation and resolution.

4. Account Performance & Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate customer account information, service requirements, shipment records, and relevant documentation.
  • Coordinate with Billing and Finance teams to address invoicing discrepancies, resolve customer billing concerns, and ensure accurate billing for services provided.
  • Track customer feedback, service performance, and recurring issues to recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, customer experience, and account profitability.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in account management, customer relationship management, or transportation and logistics operations, preferably within the trucking industry.
  • Strong understanding of transportation operations, dispatch, shipment coordination, and customer service requirements.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships while identifying opportunities for account growth and retention.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities with a proactive, solution‑oriented approach to managing customer concerns.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts and competing priorities.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to understand customer profitability, service costs, and business opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook; experience with transportation management systems (TMS) is an asset.
  • Post‑secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
