What is the role?

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Executive for our Mechanical Services team. Your main responsibility will be to grow Siemens' market share by delivering smart mechanical services that help customers reduce operating costs, improve uptime, and provide a healthy indoor environment. You will achieve booking and profit goals by developing and implementing plans to grow, develop, and manage end-user relationships; capitalize on sales opportunities within the territory (Calgary / Edmonton, Alberta); and independently win opportunities within established guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, competitors, customers, and decision influencers across the region, segments, and verticals. Stay current on mechanical market trends.
  • Create a geographic and vertical market account management plan focused on strategic growth. Identify new business opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies to drive business to the standard construction channel and end users.
  • Maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities. Achieve new order/booking and profit goals consistently.
  • Estimate and propose mechanical service agreements and HVAC retrofit projects.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships by proposing additional valued services from Siemens’ portfolio.
  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams to ensure excellent customer outcomes.
  • Partner with other sales teams to plan, target, and acquire new projects and accounts.
  • Attend industry networking events and participate in professional organizations such as ASHRAE, AEE, or USGBC/CAGBC.
  • Work with owners to create design-build retrofit projects.
  • Develop value-based proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
  • Coordinate with internal resources to obtain sales, ensure satisfactory project performance, and resolve issues.
  • Participate in sales meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay updated on market and product trends.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience with Mechanical/HVAC Systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or relevant certifications
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in Mechanical/HVAC products and solutions
  • Strong networking relationships within the local building market are essential
  • Experience in vertical markets like healthcare, data centers, education, etc., is preferred
  • Financial skills to estimate and sell service agreements and retrofit projects
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel within Alberta (Calgary and Edmonton)
  • Previous field technician experience is a strong asset
  • Valid driver’s license
Location: The candidate can be based anywhere in Alberta, preferably in Edmonton or Calgary, with willingness to travel.
