Job description

We're hiring an Account Executive to join our team! We are looking for someone with a strong background in SaaS sales and business development. The ideal candidate is confident, energetic, and a true competitor with a hunter mentality. In this role you will own full-cycle SaaS sales, and build off amazing revenue growth led by an industry leading product. We're looking for curious, hardworking, down-to-earth people, who are passionate about helping brands build enduring relationships with their customers. The ideal candidate will also be able to talk confidently to event marketers, and understand the fast-paced world of live events.

This is a full-time remote role based in Canada.

What you'll get up to:
  • Generate a pipeline of prospects and manage the sales stages including lead generation, prospecting, qualifying, demoing, following up, and closing.
  • Conduct outreach and follow-up via all available channels including cold calling, email, video, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Run product demonstrations to better understand customer needs or problems and clearly articulate our solutions that address them.
  • Share and contribute to best practices and techniques in relation to industry trends.
  • Discovering, disqualifying, and documenting leads that are a poor fit.
  • Set priorities, plan, and manage multiple tasks while being comfortable shifting when necessary.
  • Identify, recommend and lead the execution of growth opportunities within key cohorts of known and undiscovered market opportunities.
  • Forecast and manage your sales pipeline via Salesforce CRM with the ability to communicate its health clearly.
Who you are:
  • 2+ years of experience successfully running full-cycle SaaS sales
  • Confident with excellent communication skills. You are comfortable with speaking to customers in person, via video, or over the phone.
  • Empathetic with an ability to understand customers' goals, perspectives, needs, and challenges.
  • Highly organized with immaculate attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability. You take a proactive approach to your workflow and you look for opportunities to add value.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and eager to meet or exceed quotas set by the company.
  • Experience using Salesforce and other CRM tools
  • Experience with event promotion, event marketing, email marketing, a plus
Compensation + benefits:
  • The compensation structure for this role: $70,000 CAD base, $50,000 CAD variable pay, for an on-target-earning potential of $120,000 CAD.
  • Work fully remote in Canada where you’re most productive whether that be from your house, or elsewhere. We just ask that you have the legal work authorization in Canada. Unfortunately, we are unable to hire within Quebec at this time.
  • Flexible work hours: choose your 9-5 as long as it’s not disruptive to your role, team, and Hive
